Our Journey

Year 1977 a family concerned partnership business supplying recovered waste material for local recycling facilities was founded by our chairman and founder Mr. David Kumar under the name ARTDK & Sons.

Year 1994 the partnership name was changed as Gallops Trading and the business started exporting recycling material from year 2000.

Year 2011 The partnership was transformed as a limited liability company; Gallops Trading (Pvt) Ltd under the Sri Lankan Company Act No. 7 of 2007.

Whilst Gallops mainly exports waste paper and boards for recycling purpose it trades recovered resources such as scrap iron, gunny bags, pet bottles, polythene, fabric cutting, tires and vehicle batteries to the local recycling facilities.

Apart Gallops imports and distributes finished paper in real form or made to customer specification to the local market in a limited scale.

Year 2000 Gallops expanded it’s wings overseas by exporting out of Canada, Singapore, and Australia under entrepot trade business model and the list is growing gradually to transform as Gallops Global
